Poor Baby.... (Day 35)

So, I wasn't still feeling well today, so Lucas went and spent the day with my Mom and Dad so that he could try his hardest not to get what I had. Poor guy though had his own issues today. He needed to poop, and badly. He was so upset that he wasn't eating a ton. He slept most of the day cause I guess it was more comfortable for him, than to be awake and have an upset tummy.

Finally at 8:00pm, he conquered this task he had been working on all day and pooped. He smiled so big when it was over. I was so happy for him. He just wasn't himself, and I felt bad that I couldn't help him..

He's my good little guy and it was hard not seeing him last night and then again today. I'm hoping for a fun day in tomorrow!!

UGH... Day 34

I was taken over by the stomach bug today, so there were no pictures taken. Lucas went to Daycare all day and then got some quality time with Daddy when he got off work, so that I could go crawl under a rock and die...

It's a HOT one!! (Day 33)

Today was day 2 at daycare. Lucas stayed from 9-4pm. He ate well, was sweet and slept, and was swinging when I came to pick him up. That is, until I took him out of his classroom. We literally stepped on the other side of the door to his classroom, and he started wailing. A new cry that he had to catch his breath in between sobs. It was pitiful. I tried to calm him, but was not successful, so we headed out to the van to see if we could do anything out there. Not much worked. I took his pants off in case he was hot, but that didn't do much. So I decided we were hearing home, crying...

When we got home he started to calm down when I got him into a short sleeve onesie and got him a bottle. He gets very overtired, and overstimulated very easily, and I think that's all that was. Though when it was happening I was thinking he didn' t recognize me, or that he was mad at me for taking him to daycare. Lovely thoughts that go through a new mom's head.

Since it was such a nice day, we went for a walk once he calmed down. 70 plus degrees in February! I'll take it!!

We had another napping night, and then a playful evening. Love our nights together!!

He's all grown up! (Day 32)

Today, my sweet boy spent the day with someone other than me. He started at Springview Academy. It's a great daycare/preschool that my friends own in Summerville. He was warmly welcomed this morning. I got him all situated in the swing and he just took it all in. He does that. He's a very curious individual. He sat and stared for quite some time before falling asleep. While he was at school, he even did an art project!! SO GROWN UP!!!

He only went for about 4 hours today. I had a vet appointment at Sangaree Animal Hospital with the awesome Dr. Chavis! Kahua needed her yearly shots and exam, and she passed with flying colors! PS: If you are looking for a Vet, I HIGHLY reccommend them! I

Then we went home, where Lucas spent most of the afternoon/evening sleeping. It was a long day after all. It was nice though when he woke up, cause we played and read and made the most of our time together. It's going to be hard going back to work, but I know he will be ok. So far, he's been sweet at school. A little serious, but sweet. I'll take that!

Getting ready to start Daycare (Day 31)

Lucas and I spent most of the day playing and spending some good time together before he started daycare the next day. At night, I spent most of the time packing Lucas up and getting his name on all of his things. I think he knew we were going to do something new the next day, cause he didn't sleep or eat very well for me that night.

3 Months Old!! (Day 29)

My sweet, sweet boy is now 3 whole months old!! I can't believe it! He's gotten so big. He's gaining length along with weight. He can control his big head. He talks and smiles and laughs. He's my big boy!
